Beer Tasting

Did you know that beer is one of the oldest produced beverages, pre-dating wine and thought of as one of the reasons for the beginnings of agriculture? We are fortunate that in the current world beer-making renaissance, there are a plethora of quality breweries producing a range of traditional and not-so-traditional lagers and ales.
This seminar will discuss some of the different styles, their characteristics, and their place of origin. A discussion of ingredients and how they influence the taste of beer, especially malt and hops, will be introduced.
The group will taste a variety of beer styles from a range of breweries, focusing on our local producers.
